Meet Georgia
Growing up, I faced challenges with confidence and struggled to find my true sense of self. I dreamed of going to college to strengthen my faith and explore a new path in life, hoping it would be a place of growth and renewal. However, my journey took an unexpected and painful turn when I experienced sexual assault. This experience tested everything I believed in and left me feeling unanchored in my life.
In the aftermath, I searched for ways to process my pain, to heal, and to grow stronger. That’s how Anchored was born. I wanted a place, a brand, that could embody my journey toward healing and offer others a tangible reminder of strength, resilience, and security. Creating Anchored has become an outlet—a way for me to channel what I went through into something positive and empowering, not just for myself but for others who may need encouragement and support.
Meet Grace
During my freshman year of college, I participated in sorority recruitment, which ultimately led me to join Alpha Chi Omega. One of the things that deeply resonates with me is our philanthropy, Domestic Violence Awareness. Learning about the widespread impact of this issue opened my eyes to the silent struggles many people face, even those closest to me. This awareness sparked my eagerness to get involved with Anchored, a brand my sister created, driven by a shared passion to make a difference.
Though a phone case might seem like a simple product, I believe Anchored can be a powerful platform to raise awareness and provide support for survivors and anyone navigating personal challenges. Together, we hope to build a community rooted in understanding and empowerment—turning our shared compassion into action and helping others find their voice.
Why "Anchored"?
The name Anchored is deeply personal and symbolic. Inspired by the 4 anchors in the Bible, from Hebrews 6:19: “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure,” it represents my faith and the unwavering belief that I am secure and unshakeable, even in the face of trauma. The anchor is a reminder that, no matter what challenges come my way, I remain steadfast, grounded, and connected to my faith and inner strength.
This brand stands for not giving up. Life can be overwhelming, but having grit, taking chances, and maintaining faith in God are the keys to overcoming obstacles. We are all worthy of love and support, and Anchored is dedicated to helping others reclaim that sense of self-worth and inner strength.
